Item dual quad carb linkage $110.99
tax $ 7.89
SHIPPING 32.98
Insurance 3.95
Total $155.81 for a $110.99 part that will fit into a standard envelope.

Not saying I agree with high shipping fees. I don't.
But also I hate having anything but paper sent to me in a envelope.
Mabey just my luck but hard parts in a envelope even the tuff kind seems to end up with a hole in it or something busted.

shippers are a rip off lately, $286 for a rotating assembly from michigan to s.d. got a sway bar from california $230. those prices were the cheaper alternatives. Talk about gouging.

Yep that sounds right. A bunch of thieves out there. JMO How about $65 for 8 quarter window clips or $175 for 11 tail panel clips.

Guys on ebay did that. Not sure if at that time ebay didn't add shipping in their fee's.

Suggestion.
See if someone more local to the vendor could get it and forward it to you.
When I have sold things, I have always charged actual shipping costs, which are documented.
CODICIL! I am not a business which has to pay overhead, staff, and other expenses.
I try to help the hobby. Yes I make a little. There are some people in different sites I thought I was helping, to find out they up charged, and sold. One person I will never sell another thing to.
Put a request on a site wanting to purchase a part for someone else. I answered, suggested he give me the fellows name. Said he couldn’t. End of that. Now I am a little gun shy.

My observation & 2cents …

No business will survive padding an account!

In any manner !

Yes I see you’re observing those linkage rods
“ may Fit “ in an envelope BUT wouldn’t arrive in an envelope.

You do understand shipping automation right? Those pieces of steel would have torn an envelope & you wouldn’t have them !

Typically you can choose shipping methods or times with many suppliers.

Always search from among the best places to buy from for your needs. .

From my experience Classic is a reliable supplier of quality products and goods in service of our hobby and IS NOT WORTHY
If you’re stated accusation!

Yes shipping is an item out of our control, if you cannot pick up the item in person, choose the most appropriate delivery method!

I hope you can find some other suppliers to make your product selection more amenable to your specific needs .

Do you heap rewards accordingly to the company or individual that satisfies you?

If more believed in the golden rule the world would be a better place….

I used the envelope just for a size of the item being shipped.

They do make bubble wrap envelopes.
Right on.
I have been using small bubble wrap envelopes in sending out my small suspension, and brake, nuts and bolts in those envelopes.
Nobody has anyone ever gotten back to me that they had any issues with the delivery.

I never buy anything that isnt shipped free.
If I need a $20 item I can get from summit, I can always find something to pad the order to get to the free shipping threshold.
Last time I bought every sparkplug (specific # and brand) they had in stock for my 440. They were even $2 ea cheaper than the local parts store. Score!

Bought some small items on ebay forget what. Guy sent them in a thin envelope . Looked at envelope saw hole where parts Were, went threw rollers and pushed out. Vender got it right the 2nd time,

Glad I'm no longer buying a lot as I used to. Any online purchases I do are always free shipping, except for eBay, so no worries there...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag::usflag::usflag:

Shipping has been going crazy and companies are using it to make more $$. It's only going to get worse.
