Recently with the weather going all flip flop with cold and hot my 67 is having the gas gage and headlights act up. they will not work cold, and after a couple miles the lights will come on, but fuel gage does not work until the outside weather goes above some temperature for a while. anyone have experience with a goof like this?

I had a 97 Crown Victoria that had electrical issues when it was cold but worked fine when warmed up. The problem was a ground connection that was bad by a just a hair. When the engine and connector was cold, the steel of the connector shrank and contact was lost. As the engine and the connector warmed up and got hot, the metal expanded and contact was re-established. The problem was fixed by cleaning up all the ground connections.

My 1st guess for the headlights is a bad light switch/connections or a dimmer switch.

The other problem could be as mentioned, bad ground.

However both problems could be the bulkhead connector has bad terminals.

shrank?????....shrink SHRANK shrunk ???

Bruzilla is right...check all your grounds! theres a loose one someplace just enuff to lose contact!:headbang:
