hi

Some time in the future i am planning on making my 65 coronet 500 with a 383 stick i was just wondering how hard it would be to get all the parts to do so, like pedal assembly sifter, linkage and so on. thank you for any advice, this may be next summers project.

Best thing you can do is give Brewers Performance a call. They're well versed in this conversion and can keep you from collecting mis-matched parts.

Brewers is great to work with! I started collecting parts on eBay. Pedals, linkage, zbar, etc and they helped fill in the blanks. There is a bell housing out there that will take 10 1/2 and 11" flywheels that has two starter locations. I got mine at Kieslers. it also has multiple locations for Z bars. Good Luck! you'll really enjoy rowing through the gears

I am just completing a 4 speed swap on my 64 Savoy. Without the transmission (which I have from a different source) the hardware cost about $3100 without the carpet. Not cheap but then you only go around once. Spook

I finished mine this past winter. Do yourself a favor, call Brewer's and get everything. Everything will be right. You won't be sorry. The only other parts that you will need is the top and 4 speed side for the console.
It is actually a straightforward job when you have all the correct parts.

I finished mine in winter too. I made a mistake collecting parts that don't belong together. Be sure to look for a correct bellhousing and zbar assembly. I also totally agree on the gentlemen before me: give Brewers a call. He's a real pleasure to do business with and a real knowledge base when it comes to 4speed stuff.

PS: everyting works fine now after some mods but it isn't original...well, too bad but that doesn't spoil the fun of driving stick!!!

Oh, here's my assembly, ready to be installed:
