Cooling my V code 511 with AC

I have a 511 roller motor with a six pack and a/c. Currently it has a 5 blade clutch fan on it. We used the 5 blade unit because it was brand new and we had it when we restored the car. However on a 85 degree day the car runs a bit hotter than I like. I have a 7 blade alum fan.
Can I put the 7 blade fan on the 5 blade assembly? Will it work / help or am I waisting my efforts.
