Danish Mopar-dude says hello..

Thanks again.. for more "welcomes".. :)

I am swamped with work these days, but I really enjoy the warm welcome between customers, and I am looking forward to spend more time here! I was supposed to shop Charger parts like crazy this weekend, as the USD/DKK exchange rate is favorable these days, and a "not yet full" container is leaving for Denmark in 10 days, but searching out parts is very time consuming, and I am exhausted after the past week, working 12-16 hours Mon-Sat. But I somehow managed to buy a Six-Pack setup locally, complete minus the air filter housing / case, (which I found for less than 400 USD at Mopar Performance Parts). Some of these has years mentioned in the descriptions, and being a freshly baked Six-Pack owner, I have no idea abt if the years interchange. I hope they do :) - But I should probably ask in the proper section.. also, there are some called cold air" and some are not, which I need to figure out too.. but no matter what, it's gonna be fun to upgrade :)

My beloved Charger is what I think Americans call a "40 footer".. he he, and the interior is "hilariously bad", but it will not be like that forever.. On the good side, it's both mechanically and structurally VERY healthy, with a potent and well built engine, and ready for a well deserved cosmetic makeover.. It does ned a new trunk pan, and maybe a few patches in the rear quarters, and the drivers front fender needs to be "converted" from a 69 to a 68 as it was swapped some time many years ago. Funny, coz the fender is a PERFECT match in color, and fits perfectly gap-wise, and appears to be perfectly matching original WW-1 white paint, while the PS side front fender, which appears to be the original fender, has received a generous spray of "far from correct" white... and thus looks like it was replaced..

Floors are good, and so is everything else... but I am having a hard time figuring out the color. The original paint is bad,, cracked, and the car has numerous dents and scrapes that rules out buffing it back to it's former glory, so it WILL need to be painted. A part of me want to paint it white, as it is the original, but with very fine metallic effect, while another part of me, want's it some sort of "poison mint green", but still can't figure it out, even after 3 years now...

After driving the Charger again a couple of days in this new season (Weather here does not allow fine Mopar's outdoor between November - April), I just love it more and more, to the point where I almost couldn't leave it, after parking it in the driveway. The shapes and proportions of the body are INSANE, and as I said many times before.. I simply don't understand how the other brands sold any cars, when you could stroll right into a Chrysler / Dodge / Plymouth dealer, and get a car THAT beautiful !

Anyways, I gotta get some stuff done, so how abt I just upload a few pic's of the Imp, as so kindly suggested by dla4567, and MOPOWER871.. Most of these pic's are from the seller in Minnesota, as the Imperial has been stored indoor pretty much ever since it arrived here... I have my troubles after 30 years of storage, such as brakes and various rubber issues, but a real beauty.. and I am looking very much forward, to get it back in shape. Just received goodies last week, and I think I only need a few parts, which I can do from local suppliers. I was unable to find the short caliper mounted brake line pieces new anywhere. I will post more pic's later..

Need more pics of that Imperial. Looks great, not a car you see very often.

Thanks for your interest in the Imperial. I never understood why so few was sold.. It's such a beautiful car, with so many insanely cool details, like the shark gill sidemarkers.

Welcome dude. Glad you joined the forum. Lots to gain from being an FBBO member.

Hi Kasper,

welcome.
just know you from FCBO usually

Carsten
Hi Carsten.. How's things.. :)

I didn't know you had the "B-urges" too...? :-D Does this mean, that you have B's in your Mopar-stables as well ?

I still hope to make it, to either "Big boats by the river", or "German Mopar nationals", as I would absolutely LOVe the experience, but I am so pressed for time. It would be cool to stare at Mopar cars with German license plates, and even more cool, to meet you and Julian.. but then again, I will have to disguise my "full width white wall ties".. ha ha.. :-D Just joking.. I think I'll end up ordering those narrow "Vouge striped" ones.. although, I honstly still think it'll look great with the wide ones..).

I got the lift set up (again) in the new garage, so I can begin fixing the brakes on the Imp.. calipers are COMPLETELY stuck, after all those years. (Was parked more or less untouched for 30 years), so I got refurbished master cylinder, vaccum booster, calipers (beautifully re-manufactured), hoses and so on.. and I ordered a molded lower radiator hose.. and guess what.. he he, they sent me a wonderful flex-hose instead.. Crap (but a little bit funny too) :BangHead: !

OK, I smell cookies.. and I know where to find milk = I'm out of here - see you in c-world friend !

Hello Mopar brothers and sisters!

I am Kasper, from Denmark.. 49, chubby, married, one wife, two kids, three Mopars.

I LOVE Mopars, and spend way to much time on the internet every day, reading Mopar and watching Mopar pic's. I even dream about Mopars so often, that I'd probably be better off, shutting up abt it. I am also registered in "forcbodies..", but as I also love my Charger as much as my land-yacht's, I figured that I'd better "get it on" in here too.. :)

I hope to be able to buy some parts, and find/share information experiences with you all.. my Mopar brothers / sisters. What sparked my welcome-wagon thread today, was that I need to ask some questions, abt engine types, and their numbers, and thought it would be impolite to ask before "announcing my existence" here, so to speak.

So, that's it.. thanks in advance.. and have a Mopar day ! :-D

Currently, I own a 1968 Charger 440 base (running / registered) , 69 300 convert (restoring), and a 69 Imperial LeBaron coupé (Beautiful B3 survivor)...

440 Kind greetings,
Kasper
