Dash paint (speaker and defroster area) do you clear coat this?

I found the color I want for my dash/speaker/defroster area on my '73 Roadrunner. My question is do I have to protect this paint with a matte clear coat (or similar) or is it good to go right out of the can? I have not had to do this before so I figured I would ask those who know. IDK maybe I should be using something else that is better.

If You clearcoat it it won’t look the same as the original paint. The other thing is being on the dash you want to make sure it’s not too shiny and reflective.

By the way, SEM Landau black is the exact color of the plastic dash pieces, such as the instrument cluster bezel, radio bezel, and the hockey stick above the glove box. SEM is the only company authorized to sell that color.
