we have over 300+ days a year of classic car driving weather
& where I live we get plenty of snow
still have 10+ months of great classic car driving conditions
& we do get our share of rain, just not much this time of year
We had that problem last month. 21 days of some amount of rain and only 5 days of sunshine and highs in the low 60s, then bam 97 degrees and 90% humidity.
Man I would love to have some of that forecast precip here in the West!!! We are hot and dry and conserving H2O as best we can. My vegetable gardening is doing OK for now but if this drought keeps up, I may have to stop doing so until we get our H2O levels back up. And to top that off, where I live here in Northern NV, north of Reno, they want to build 5k more homes and tap the aquifers and wells here to provide H2O. Even though the say the can pump H2O from the Truckee aquifer and Lake Tahoe, it still is insane how blind the builders and proposers are to the H2O reality...cr8crshr/Bill
Haven't mowed my lawn in weeks, we've had 3 days of rain, and spotty for the upcoming week. Corn is finally getting to "knee high", some isn't looking so good but most is. The fourth is coming soon.
We have the national highway system!. we have a nation wide power grid!. Sure would be nice if we had a national water pipeline system. So we could pump all this east coast rain towards the desert southwest. And all points inbetween! As needed.
Weather Girl this morning says we may get some rain next week off and on for several days.
Lake Mead only has 1 boat ramp open. All the others have dried up. Lowest level ever on record.
