daylight savings time

I went out today in my -17 ram power wagon- and was met with the trauma of confusion when the clock said 11:00 am or so and I knew better cause I pay attention to the important stuff.
I was clearly informed that the changing of time would happen at 2 am. (The time zone used for the 2 am change is only one issue I am dealing with).
So -gathering my wits to maintain control- I started to consider taking my truck to the dealership for a recalibration of the clock.- I continued with my shopping agenda and upon returning to my vehicle was blessed with an apparent automatic time correction of the clock. - A full nine hours late PST.
That was a huge relief but still left me with confusion about why my truck did not show the right time at the right time. I have some residual stress about this because my vehicle is out of warranty.

We should go :30, lock it in, and be done with it. We don't need Daylight Saving Time anymore...we have light switches.

(they can phase it back in, after the Green Nude Eel takes over and we lose those light switches...)

An extra hour of sunlight is great for farmer's crops as it gives 60 minutes more of the life force from the sun.

At which end, morning or night!! LOL. I just wish it would go away.

What is this "daylight savings" of which you speak?

Signed, Arizona Resident.
Sent us northeasterners some of that Arizona "GLOBAL WARMING" too!!! Friggin 28 degrees sat am!!

Was the term--"daylight savings" an early attempt to control the climate?:)-- Where is the bank that holds sunlight for future use?

I was always a bit annoyed with the "tradition" of changing the clocks twice a year but was gifted with an internal clock that is unaffected. And most all of our devices are self-correcting these days so I have no clocks to reset aside from the blinking -12:00- on the old microwave. -That I use as an indication that it is still plugged in.

I use the VCR to let me know the power to tv & cable box is ok.:D
