Want to remove, don't want to tweak/bend. Can someone with experience guide me here? Thanks.

I saw a post on here the other day of someone using an old fashioned metal bottle opener.
I used a pick & a narrow blade common screw driver for mine, and sort of felt for the give as i went. Theres probably a tool made for it though.

the bottle opener works PERFECT on the drip rail trim.
problem i'm having is the tight tension fit. screws are removed.
i'll try pick and screwdriver

With the 1st decklid i started to use, i couldn't get the molding to fit on the edge. It had swollen from where moisture got under the flange, and caused rust. My body guy had to squeeze the flange with plyers to flatten it back down.if thats whats holding yours, you may have to spread it a bit to get it off.

what you stated was exactly my concern. years ago i pulled the press-fit on hood edge trim off a Dodge Magnum. i mildly tweaked it and the didn’t fit as tight. was concerned i'd mar the surface if i squeezed with pliers. didn't know if the top restoration shops had a tool for this or what
