Hello,
I sometimes get posts deleted when the staff takes offense to them. They usually come with a notification that the post was deleted along with a brief explanation. Many times it is a matter of something posted in the wrong forum.
I find this to be courteous and I appreciate it. Other sites are often not nearly as nice about it.
I know that sometimes we, ME especially, post something that is thought to be funny and the staff steps in. I don't like it but I understand it.
My concern is that when a post is deleted, I never know exactly what was deleted. If I posted once a week, it would be easy to narrow it down. Usually, I don't know what was deemed to be unacceptable. If there were a way to better describe the post or meme in question, that would help me and others to NOT post it again.
The notifications of LIKE-DISLIKE-AGREE-DISAGREE always show who clicked that but the notifications by the staff do not. I guess that is to stop potentially angry members from taking it out on the staff member that took action? The deleted post notifications don't allow a view of the deleted post...maybe that is simply a matter of site programming?
I'd rather not poke the bear in terms of reposting something that angers the staff.
