DETROITERS: Alter Bridge?

Back in the day it was worth going down there just to observe the stark demarcation between Detroit and Grosse Pointe. North of Jefferson Ave, one side of Alter was Detroit slum. Busted up buildings, bullet proof glass in every gas station and Seven Eleven, hoodlums walking the side walks. The other side of the street had fancy eateries, BMWs, and money everywhere. It was a sight that defied all logic.

Went back a several years ago. The Detroit side has definately oozed into the Pointe's side.
