Did you name your car?

My vehicles have always been named. The Charger was originally named Violet and after her engine and transmission from the Cordoba she is now Lady V. The Cordoba was Ladyfinger, so we just combined them. The Sport Fury is Louise and the Hearse is Uncle Mel. My Camry is Lady Boz and my wife’s Scion XB is Winkie.

Those are some cool cars! What's the hearse like? Just curious why that car has a male name? Mine are all guys, no tits. I have a Scion xB, over 300K on it. I haven't named it though. I also have a VW Tiguan I call the Eggbeater.

"The Roach" was a '74 Duster that was just as bad as the name implies.

"Old Shitty" was a '74 Dodge Camper 9000 2 wd truck. It was great for dirty jobs but a real UNrefined truck.

"NEW Old Shitty" replaced OS and is a much better truck, though still rough around the edges.

After I bought this XH '70 Charger and thought about how many cars had to be parted out to make this car whole, I decided to call it "Jigsaw"

Of course....My red car needed a name now that I named the junky one. I named this one "Ginger":

Maybe once I paint Jigsaw and it looks nice, I'll call it "Mary-Anne".
Gilligan would like that.

Those are all cool cars but Ginger is real beauty! Thanks for sharing!

A local auto radio show dedicated the entire show to naming cars, what did you name it and why?
The host was a really good guy and stayed on the air for over a year even after being diagnosed with cancer which he never mentioned on his show.

So, did you name your car? If so, why that name?

you named your car Kirk....... admit it :poke:

The Hearse is named for my wife’s uncle who was a retired motor officer and drove a Hearse part time and my wife has wanted one forever. When this one came up I jumped on it.
Makes my wife smile and that’s always good. And Mel can be either male or female as in Melany or Melvin or

If I had a fat out of shape car that's what I would call it!

I called the radio show and told them what I named this car: J.L. Gotrocks. When they asked why, I told them it's a 440 Six Pack 4 speed and it's got rocks! Good trivia question: who is J.L. Gotrocks?

That's awesome! Must be cool to drive around in! You should get a fake coffin and put a fake body in it and scare the **** out of people!

Yeah, Poindexter, :D but what was special about him?
Where were you when "we" were talking about intakes? :D
You were getting plenty of expert advice on those. I've owned enough six paks to know I don't particularly
like the things, although working on them is pretty straightforward.

If you say so...never did it before!

They were unnecessary on stock street engines, honestly - it was all about appearances.
Once you got going with some engine mods though, the added cfm could be handy.

funny thing... I was actually watching the Flintstones this morning, because, you know, cable has so much to offer

anyway, another Fred double, this time a King

Haven't had cable or satellite in about 15yrs. Got tired of paying for about 4 channels I actually watched and tons of repeats. So I dumped them and bought the shows and movies I like and am my own program director. I RULE!

This tank is a real blast to drive and there’s always lots of room for groceries or whatever you need to bring home. We are looking at getting some type of aluminum container for the back. It would easily roll out because the rollers are in real good shape and the locks are there as well so it will be secure when driving. We are planning to take a road trip next year and it looks like Uncle Mel is going to be the ride. This car has only 31k original miles so she needs some road time.

:xscuseless:

:thumbsup: :lol: :lol: :luvplace: :usflag::usflag::usflag::steering:
