Difference Between Quarter Panels

We are restoring a 1973 Charger In the shop and It needs quarter Panels. AMD doesn't make any for it but they do make them for a 1971 charger..

The question is .. Would we be able to use 1971 charger quarter panels on the 1973 charger?? IS the only difference the marker Light?

The lower body line in the front of the car is different between 71-72 and 73 you might look and see but would assume that's the big difference.

They will not interchange. You can buy skins through Tabco for 73/74

Wheel well opening is larger on the 73/4.

are you sure of that ? I know in front they are but I have my doubts on rear. Outer wheel housings are mentiones interchangeable with some minor mods.


BESIDE THAT, the quarter glass opening is WAY different... that makes also a dif body curve and height

Yes. 1.25" larger, same as the front.

Upper body line is more pronounced on 73/74 as well.

Sherman/Goodmark made a full length patch panel at one time.

Sherman/Goodmark is the same piece as the one from Tabco, they just tack more onto the price.
