Has anyone used an Eaton Detroit Truetrac in their 8-3/4 rear end? I am debating if I should rebuild my sure grip unit if it is the clutch type and not the cone type or go with the Truetrac. I have over 600 HP and torque which is unconfirmed until the transmission is installed this week.

I have an Eaton Trutrac in my roadrunner and am sitting in the same boat as far as HP/TQ. So far, so good...I like it. It's not noisy and perform's like it should, when it should. Kinda pricey, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. IMO, running a few hundred more horsepower & torque more than the factory mill, I wasn't going to take the risk of using something not designed for that much power.
