Disc brake converstion question

you really need to be more specific with exactly what you are doing here
so you get a more proper answer...

My car is a HD drum power brake RR. I want to convert to discs on all four, getting rid of the drums. I would like to keep the booster. The goal is to keep my car as close to original, off the assembly line, as possible. If I have to change the booster, with one that will work with four wheel discs, fine. I just dont want a GM booster on my car. The master isnt a prblem, again, as long as it works with the booster.

if you want disc's on all 4 corners
a stock type booster /master cyl will not be very effective for doing it.
the reasons as to why are in my answer above.
if you had a disc/drum set up then yes it would be possible
doing it like how mark had mentioned.

with the discs on the rear you need to push more fluid back there
and a stock booster/master cyl set up won't cut it.
your best options would be what i mentioned before and they are not stock.

if you really want to research what parts will work best with each other
i highly recommend andy f's bbody performance upgrade book
it lists all the options that will work on brakes

you will learn more there, then any phone call to a company
thats best interest is to sell you something

i have a 71 runner w 11' drums all the way around
and i want a stock booster/master set up with discs/drums

i'm doing a disc/drum set up with factory parts
4 wheel disc to me is overkill,i'm not planning to roadrace it
my front will have
73-6 a body spindles and backing plates
11 3/4 slotted rotors
11 3/4 pin caliper brackets from a 78 doba
pin style calipers
the rotors are cheap and plentiful is the main reason i chose
this set up.
the only downfall is i have to use 15 inch rims or bigger

One thing to keep in mind is the booster has nothing to do with braking so to speak. The booster only makes your leg use less force, you need the right mc for 4 wheel disc. Talk to Dr Diff (Cass), he can set ya straight with what you will need.

Late 70's F-body master works good but you need the adapter plate. Wilwoods also work good but are more costly.

Thanks for the replies. I will look at the set up and hopefully come up with a solution when I get home to the states. Hey Moparmark-I bought the K from ya last month when you were on your way to Indy...looks good!

*UPDATE* Booster Dewey says the Midland Ross is correct for either drum/drum or disc/drum. Now, more confused.
