70 la 318 with Hooker Comp headers. I was told I do not but wanted to ask you guys. Engine is being assembled now. thanks.

I had Hooker Super-Comps on my 360....it was tight..... so a 90-degree adaptor would be useful.
With Hooker Super-Competition headers...............
And after swapping out with Hugger Style headers by Patriot.......

You can use a short filter or the adapter with the longer filter.

We all change oil way more often on our classics than daily drivers. Just a thought.

I used the trans-dapt filter relocation kit and mounted the filter to my fender. I just made sure to keep the hoses as far from the headers as possible. No issues after 2+ years.
I could be wrong, but I thought they made a 45-degree adapter as well that might work better.
Is that a filter that hangs around for a while?

Seriously though, use a 90 degree adapter to get more distance between the filter and exhaust headers. Heat!
