My 68 GTX just started this problem yesterday. Would not turn over. Put it in neutral and it starts fine. After that, it will work fine starting in park. Let it sit overnight, and won’t start in park. Have to start it in neutral again. Does that sound like the NSS, wiring or something else? Thanks

Check the adjustment on your transmission linkage. It doesn't take much to be in the wrong position.

if it starts in neutral, it s the adjustment , look at your linkage for worn out bushings or any play
if you try it again and slam it into park probably will start

FWIW I had a similar problem with starting cold. Turned out to be the repop starter relay. Had some corrosion at the solder joint inside. Got a NAPA relay and all is good.
