Do the Saginaw Power Steering Hoses Use Any Rubber O-rings?

Found two small rubber o-rings (one smaller than the other) in the plastic envelope inside the box of an Autozone Saginaw style power steering pump (together with the shaft pulley woodruff key). Do I need the o-rings? Thank you.

Some do, generally the newer pumps do, 71 & earlier don't... Check the high pressure fitting, first one needs an O ring, second one is for a flare..
