From the early 80's. My son is now 21 and of course he missed that era. We have a 1981 Dodge Ram 50 (Really a Mitsubishi.) Bryce has his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 jacked way up, to where I have to pull myself in with my arms. Now he's starting on the "Little Black Truck." That's what it's name has always been. Well for awhile it was the "Ugly Little Black Truck. It just rolled over 100K but it is sweet. The black body shined right up and is very straight. It's the Royal not Sport. Now it's lowered a few inches.
It has always been in the family since new. My Uncle Ora bought it then gave it to Dad. Dad has passed away but he had always overloaded it and bogged it. so we had the tranny/clutch redone. Bryce is so excited he was out working on the springs in a hard rainstorm. His head was dry but the rest was soaked. It's the big 4 cyl,, 2.6L with a 5 speed.
I just let him do whatever he wants to do to it. He's a good boy. Ill try to show it when he's done but here is an advertising shot. Ours has the classy pin stripes not the garish body grfx.
