I'll start out by saying I always wear my seat belt and think if you are intelligent you should too.
However, I think safety items like seat belts and helmets should be optional. Mandatory that they be installed, but optional. If you choose to take the risk and die that is fine with me. As far as I can tell it would help weed some of the damn morons from our streets. I think part of our problem in this country is we do too much to help the dumb asses. If we help them kill themselves then they can't raise more morons and we all benefit.
