Dodge coronet 1969 super bee Pro Touring Project

aluminium kirkey seats instead of the heavy bucket seats i have right now.
There are a lot of seats in between heavy buckets and a sheet of aluminum...
Maybe look at those, if you haven't.
I replaced my bench seat with Scat Procar bucket seats.

Aluminum ones will not be the business for long trips and such. I got a set of scat Procar elite lumbar seats and look and feel right.

I've been busy, I bought my first house so I will have some space for the car, so that's nice.
I also bought aluminium 19 inch wheels with tires. 9 J front and 10j back. For only 600 euro. I'm going to look of I can get 305's on the rear tire. Wheels will be powder coated black.
Also started with removing the drip rail. Only doing small parts per time, so it does not warp. Upper Pic is where I grinded it away. Lower picture after I welded it and grinded it down again.

I can only offer that I have 315/35/17s on the rear of the 70 Roadrunner, with stock suspension and 5" backspacing. As you go taller, the inverted U of the fenderwells get narrower (on my car).
My current tires and wheels fit like they should have been a factory option!

Not done anything on the car because I bought first house and build a garage.
But today started working on it in my new garage. Mounted the rear suspension and rear wheels. Pretty happy with the ride height this far. I have 10j rear wheels, I'm thinking to get it widened to 12j.

Next thing is to get the engine and front wheels mounted to check total stance etc.

Been a while but made some progress. Started with making carbon fiber panels. I hand laminated the following panels wuth weight in kg of steel and carbon fiber:
Left quarter 13kg steel, 3kg cf
Right quarter 13kg steel, 3kg cf
Left mini tub 8.3kg, 3kg cf
Right mini tub 7.9kg 2.8kg
Dutchman panel steel 1.8kg, 0.6kg
Trunk floor with frame precies for rear leaf steel 15kg, 2.7kg.
Roof steel 21.5kg, carbon 4.5kg

I will make a mold for the trunk, door skins and front fenders. The carbon will be resin infused this time.
It amazes me how stiff the carbon is. I can easily stand in the middle of the trunk floor.
I made the cf tubs so there can easily fit 345's in.

Next up is mounting the cf roof, but frist need to satin clear coat it since i want to have no headliner so tbe carbon is visuele front the inside
Here some pictures.

The car will also get a full cage so already welder the plates for the cage in the trunk in.
And made a reces in the left quarter for the ringbrothers gas cap with trim.
