Does any body know about a 390 motor(a 360 or 318 bored out to be a 390)

Mopar Performance Used to sell a 390 h.p. 360 Crate Motor. Maybe this is what it is. I think they came with finned cast aluminum Mopar Performance valve covers.

Those were Magnum engines.

The valve covers do look different than the 360 they put in molar from the factory, it very well could be that

Kinda curious.... why do you think that?? Previous owner claim?? Or??

My uncle said that the engine is either a 360 or 390, he said it’s not factory. I have never heard of a 390ci mopar motor so I am trying to learn about it

Like said before, 390's are strokers and have a 4" stroke crank. You will never know unless you measure the piston travel.

Our whole family lean towards ford, but me and my dad at least like other brands of cars. My uncle said it did run good when he took the motor out, but that was like 6 years ago so I don’t know

Id try to get it running and see how it does before tearing the engine apart.

Might save a few thousand bucks.

...and check those numbers while you're at it.
