Does your newer model car have a spare tire?

Spare tire?
What a brilliant idea.

Pricey, but it may be worth it.

for more modern stuff with the 5x115mm
it's not compatible with early Mopars (Fords), 5x4.5"/114.3mm

they have no listings of what the register, 'hub centric size' is either

or 6x4.5"/114.3mm, I didn't even see listed
(Viper & Dakota or Durango 2wd or 4wd, up until they made the bolt patterns different)
not even the truck Ram 1500s with the 5x139.7mm/5x5.5" (1994-2008)
or 6x139.7mm/6x5.5" (2009 - now)

albeit most truck as far as I know come with spares, underneath

anyway, carry on

Of course they do.
The trucks are easy though...plenty of space. The Challenger could have been either way. There are stereo options that take up trunk space which deletes the spare tire.
The development of run flat tires have allowed manufacturers to leave spares out of some cars but those tires are far from perfect.

Spending $50k+ on a vehicle, and wanting a spare tire is asking too much from the manufacturer, unless you're willing to pay extra for a subscription to access the trunk.

I'm not sure the general public can be trusted to properly use a jack and lug wrench.

The van I drove at work (Ram ProMaster City) was brand new, came with no spare. It did have a can of flat repair spray under the seat though. I only knew it was there by reading the owners manual.

I have a full size spare for my truck, in the back. It used to be underneath, but the unwinding gear did not work. My made in China jack quit the last time I got a flat. Made a note today to be sure I have the gear to change a wheel if needed. We took two spares with us to the Arctic, and two jacks. One old US made, and the recently failed made in China unit. I will check Shirley’s Honda for a spare. Right now I have no idea. She has BCAA.
