Dog Proves Not To Be Mans Best Friend

Uhhhhh….that jack-monkey deserved what he got from what it appears

"Anderson police deployed K9 Chance to apprehend Sullivan, but as the K9 was bearing down on him, Sullivan turned and fired at least one round at him, police said.

The bullet struck K9 Chance in his left ear, but he was undeterred and continued to pursue the gunman."

I can attest to their fortitude, I have an AKC Belgian Malinois just like that. Best dog you could ask for, but let someone do something they shouldn't and he'll let you know.

They don't call them Maligators for nothing, lol.

Having shepherds continually during the past 40 years, there is no other dog for me. Yeah, some shed and dander more than others, I was allergic but became immune over time.

Thanks!

They typically shed twice a year. You don't 'really' notice until you run the sweeper and see what it picks up. As far as dander I think it varies from dog to dog.

I noticed in the article.... recently released! This had multiple opportunities to turn out worse for a lot of people and Chance!

And when this piece of garbage is eventually released, someone will unfortunately become the next victim.

Belgian Malinois - my favorite breed. I'll have to wait till till I retire to have enough time for another dog though.

Almost makes be believe every cop should have a police dog as a partner (might help curb the police shooting unarmed people that we read about too often in the news, too).

Good Dog! I think because this guy is a repeat offender, he just surrendered his membership card to the human race! The public has tried to right his wrongs at great expense, but it didn't work. I think the zoo might be in need of alligator food but this guy would probably just make them sick!
Thanks for the story Auggie!

I've seen those rascals in action before (a friend had a Malanois as a family pet for years). Dang things are basically life support for a hell of a set of chompers! Fortunately, the dog got to liking me eventually and stopped trying to eat me when I'd visit. :)

My older sister Candy, lives in Redbluff Ca. trains & fosters them
(Belgian Malinois) usually doesn't have them very long
many/most that washed out of military training, for what ever reason/s
they usually mandatorily go to veterans as support animals

she has a good looking 4 y/o male name Koni (pronounced like coany)
he's trained in German & English language org.,
"allegedly the USAF spent some $17,000 his 1st 2 years of life
he's a great dog
he was crate trained for the 1st year,
he was basically kenneled most the day the 2nd
was really alone (sadly, IMO somewhat cruel),
had to learn how to act like a dog/pet,
still doesn't get the concept of "toys"
he's so social now, always glued to my sisters side
smart as hell too
I know they do it, to "break them down" for training purposes
to bond with their human counterpart etc.,
to make them really territorial & use to the crate
then he was trained for drug sniffing, was our best guess
but;
he loses focus very easily, short attention span
IMO he sheds like crazy too (a lot more than my labs do, they shed plenty)
I find little tuffs/toughs of tan/black hair when he comes,
I know he's brushed & bathed regularly too

(his personality reminds me of the dog 'Doug' in the cartoon movie 'Up')
squirrel

Dog Belgian Malinious -my Human-.jpg

but;
he tears the **** out my dog Elvis's toys :poke:
but really has some great personality
I enjoy when he's arround

the Military went to the Belgian (Shepherd) Malinois
because they had to pack the dogs on their backs or shoulders
for hrs at a time & the Belgians were a bit smaller/lighter 45-50#'s vs 75-100#'s
& still have the drive or other abilities & more agility, than that of the larger breeds

There are literally thousands of Malinois' in rescues all across the country. Big reason for that is people get them and don't realize what they are getting into. These dogs aren't for the faint of heart!

That's pretty reasonable to train one, I know of a guy in Montana (IIRC) who breeds and trains them.

You can purchase one for a meager $30,000.00
