The truth! Except my side would be half Cat side.
Just witnessed my 8lb cat intimidate two 75lb shepherds OFF the bed. She now owns the dog side.
With the exception of the last two years, Cuda has ruled over the dogs. She would bitch slap them if they looked at her. One dog, Coco, she used to chase around the house. Coco would be on the bed with us and then Cuda would come up and sit right in front of her waiting for eye contact. Coco would do her Stevie Wonder routine looking all over but at the cat. Once she slipped up, bitch slap time. The two new hounds, especially Toga, thinks its a game and are ready to play tag.

Cuda is your cat? Cool. Always like black cats, and gray cats.
The pic is my Cuda (also answers to "cudabug")

Toga hasn't got bitch Scratched? Ha ha. My daughter's cat a 17 pounder and her 90lb grand pyrenees play dog licks cat, cat runs off dog chases cat. Cat if he doesn't hide turns chases dog.

I name my cats after Mopars. This is Dart, her littermate sister. Totally different personality. Both still kicking at 16. They learned, after close calls with Coyoties and Raptors, to stay near the dogs for protection. Only took them 10 years to figure that out. Very adventurous when young.

Toga has no problem. She's like, bring it on fatso! She like herding Cuda around.

Is this a cat thread 'Now' ? :poke:

sorry no cat photos, my neighbors have like 5 combined in 3 houses
we are upto our neck in cats
keeps the mouse (& my neighbors gopher problem) population down

I take care of feed water & let in & out
everyones animals when they go on vacations
I'm Dr. Dolittle of Belview Oaks Estates
dogs cats birds ferrets mice hamsters guinipigs or otherwise

I'm more of a dog person but like the nextdoor neighbors cat
(grey) 'Flick'
he's cool, he's a talker, I may need to get a photo of him sometime
if I remember, he was 1 of 2 brothers they got about 1-1/2 ago
(calico) 'Zero' his bros. he was still young like 6 months-ish
the other cat, we think he got eaten' by a coyote, Mt.lion, bobcat
or a big *** bird falcon (?) eagle, hawk or the huge owls we have here
he had a tendency to wander a bit too far away from the house
or climb into trees where their nest/s are/were

best photo ever
Elvis & Bubba 7-27-2015 8-weeks on deck (2).JPG

Elvis, his mortal enemies are the cats, he gets all excited
it's a distinct bark when he sees a cat, he chases them often too
I dare them to take a swipe/bitch slap him
it wouldn't be good, I never taught him to be mean to anything...
I only hope he never catches one...

I actually discourage that stuff, he just doesn't like the cats in 'HIS YARD'
or the squirrels
(one of the bigger males "Rocky' messes with him bigtime)
then the birds,
goes nuts when he hears them pecking on the house
wants out, post haste
the bluejays & especially the damn acorn peckers, in the cedar trees out back,
he can jump really high, they tease him often
& he's gotten a couple now
he dislikes birds especially the 30-40 turkeys, or the 100s of quail behind us

he is a bird dog
