How fast,MPH do you intend to go??
The GTX has 15" Magnums, as can be seen in my pics on here, so that wasn't a worry.
I'm simply referring to the various kits' manufacturers' descriptions oftentimes reading "works with factory 10" drum spindles", yet not mentioning factory 11" drum spindles like many of these cars have (including mine).
I thought maybe the 10" drum spindles might be a different diameter?
Apparently not. Thanks to everyone who answered that!
Scarebird is what I used, and very pleased with it. Been a few years and I think they have updated some of their kits-adapters. They will supply all parts, or give you a list to source your own parts. that is nice if you can get a parts discount. I suggest you check out their website..................................MOi used the scarebird conversion plates. lets you use factory parts from other cars. super easy and cheep to put together. manual brakes will still almost lift you out of the seat when slamed.
A member posted an SSBC kit for sale. Asking $550 + shipping. It's $865 on Summit Racing.

Yep, I saw that, thanks. Just a little leery of the freight all the way across the country from CA.A member posted an SSBC kit for sale. Asking $550 + shipping. It's $865 on Summit Racing.

Unfortunately, that isn't available anymore. They say there wasn't enough demand.I also installed the Scarebird kit on my Charger last year. I tried to find some info on it, but it seems it may have gone out of production. It used to be "Product Code: BNE". Let us know what you hear from them.

Yep, already conversed with him. He's no help when running 15" like my Magnums since his stuff is too big according to him. :-(
Ummmm no more than it did originally? How fast,MPH do you intend to go??

Ok, again I'll be keeping the stock spindles in place for the 11" drums I have now.Have you have a chance to visit our site www.p-s-t.com. We offer variety of setups. No spindle change, no alignment needed? Can I ask why you want to keep the stock drum spindles? The manual kit that we sell for $639 (member discount $575) with free shipping includes new spindles and the kit works with 15" wheels. We also offer Wilwood as well.
Thanks
James
Ed, I'm subscribed, if my car doesn't sell I may be doing what you are thinking about.
TX-Don "subscribed" = following the thread.Huh?
I've just recently replaced both lower and one upper ball joint as part of getting the car back on the road, which of course included a trip to the alignment rack. Can I ask why you want to keep the stock drum spindles? Oh, I know all about Wayne and company. He's done a lot of good for our hobby over there (following Professor Ehrenbergs' recipe - smart!) and there are definite merits to using all original Mopar parts, of course.MoparedTn, another Mopar brake vendor is "The Ram man". He has MANY videos to look at. Again, why do you insist on keeping drum spindles?
