Door hinge question

The spring mechanism on my jamb (drivers side) that holds the doors ajar is missing - I have one I can pull off (?) the pass side of a parts car - can't tell if they're interchangeable. Anyone know ? How hard to install ?

They are the same and not to difficult to change out. I have also seen those springs sold new on Ebay from a guy in Cali I think that specializes in hinges. I think they are also the same from driver to passenger side, just flip them over.
