door hinges replacement for 73 RR

I need to replace the door hinges on my 73 rr one is damaged and drooping alot, so i decided to change both of them.
I bought new hinges from AMD and will paint them body color and install.
Some threads mentioned taking off the fenders to accomplish this - do i need to do this on a 73 RR ?
Any advise would be helpful.

Hinges are accessed by removing the front fender wheel well splash shields without removing the fender.

Hmm, I was able to do it on my 70, without removing anything.

Supported open door on floor jack.

Not real fun, but doable. Maybe 73/74 is different.

Considerably more work and knuckle bashing to do it with door open, through the jamb, but can be done that way as well. Four small crews secure the splash shields, door closed, straight shot to the bolt heads. One hinge at time, adjust as necessary.
