In response to the original question, the only roofrail weatherstrip other than OEM pieces that will seal properly is the Steele rubber piece. They are twice the price of the Metro pieces, but the Metro piece is not a correct profile which will not allow the door glass or quarter glass to properly seal to the roofrail. For quarter glass seals, all of these seals were flocked rubber after 1962 for the B-Body applications. Many of the them share the same profile. The difference is in the quality of the extrusion. Soft Seal, Metro and Steele all offer similar quality pieces with the biggest difference being in pricing. There are some generic seals in the market, so you just have to know what your purchasing. For door seals, Metro and Steele offer comparable pieces. Again the difference is that the Steele pieces will be considerably more dollars. So many variables in the weatherstripping as we have been involved for 28 plus years in the industry, and back to back runs using the same machinery and raw materials can yield different results. Just need to deal with a reputable source.
