Anything special removing the dr side exhaust manifold. 70 RR 440 w/ power discs
Does the engine need jacked up on that side.I would start with it warm and drain some coolant in case one of the studs unthreads out of the head.
Otherwise just say a prayer first that none of the studs snap off.
As you break each nut loose tighten back up a bit until they are all loose. Then go back and remove all the nuts.
Hope it goes well
On my 69 RR w/out power brakes, I did not need to jack up the engine, but I may have had more room without the brake boosterDoes the engine need jacked up on that side.
I was able to remove it without jacking the engine up. I had to remove both sides of the exhaust flange & take out the spark plugs & remove the rocker cover. On my 69 RR w/out power brakes, I did not need to jack up the engine, but I may have had more room without the brake booster

Yes. Remove the motor mount bolt on the driver's side. I put a piece of 2 x 4 on the jack saddle as long as the section of the pan I will be jacking on. This is to distribute the force over as large an area as I can to avoid damaging the oil pan. Jack until you can feel a slight resistance. Do not force it. This has to be done to get the other side off as well, because of engine offset in the bay.Does the engine need jacked up on that side.
