Hey everyone! Just a quick question. I'm looking to buy a new set of weld drag lites rims for and back. I'm not sure on the back spacing for the rear or how wide of a rim you can go with The car is a 69 charger stock spring location. 15x10x28 is what I'm thinking I'm using M/T 28x10.5 on a 8 inch rim. Also I'm going to buy skinnies for the front but not sure on the back spacing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On my 69 Super Bee, I'm running Billet Speciality wheels, and my rear wheel is 15x10x5.5 with a 295/60/15 tire on it.

you want a 4.5 inch backspacing on a 8 inch rim

Thanks. Do you have any pics of the car with the 5.5 back spacing that you could post? I just don't want the wheels coming out past the quarter panels. I have my drag wheels on a 8 inch rim right no and they fit nice. Thanks for the replys

Cape,
I run a 8" with 4.5"BS on my 68 Satellite . This is with a 275 Hoosier radial slick . You can run a 4"BS but will need to roll fender lip , been there done that . A friend has a 10" with 5.5"BS on her 68 Roadrunner without rolling fender lip , this is with a 295/50R15 tyre .
I also have 28x10.5R15 MT pro bracket radial on a 8.5" , 3 7/8"BS Torquethrust D , there is the slightest rub outer edge up in wheel well over bumps . I have ordered a 10" with 5.5"BS to fit this tyre better , hopefully Centreline Wheels pull their finger out soon with this custom BS order

Tex

Hey guys thanks for the replys I really appreciate it. The bee looks sweet thanks for the pics that helps out a bunch.

On my Bee, with the 5.5 backspacing, as you can see, the wheels/tires are not sticking out of the fender wells. A smaller backspacking I'm sure would push the wheel out of the wheel well.

I also run 15x8x4.5 wheels with 275 tires on them and no fender problems. The 275 looks good on the 8" wheel as the sidewall is not ballooned out and the tread is flat.

Hey guys thanks for the replys I really appreciate it. The bee looks sweet thanks for the pics that helps out a bunch.
