dream car or harley

Mopar first but down deep we're just car guys!

I gave my opinion based on those 2 options... it was quite easy!

Like a few others on here say... do what makes you happy! everyone doesn't have to love what you drive just you

**End Rant!**

exactly most people into Mopars are car guys in general, I've had many different Bikes, many different cars/brands, my 1st love is Mopar, always has been always will be, that doesn't mean I can't love/like something else too, IMHFO most of us here, are equal opportunity gearheads !!, can see past a specific brand & still be loyal to our love of Mopars....

The Harley is all cleaned up and ready to be sold but the GTO may not be.

The story on the car changes and I may walk away from it, too much drama involved.

Still going to sell the bike...

Good luck, with your search...

My step dad Bob had a bunch of fast & cool GTO's & Firebird growing up... I haven't been into Pontiacs in a while, but still some of my favorites, I want a 65 GTO 4speed 4.10 tri power car {my personal favorite} or 70 Judge again or a 70 T/A some day, a convertible 65 would be even better, I just don't have the extra funds to build or buy another expensive build car...

Lol I'd like to say you're not in trouble but there are the few on here that like to take the Brand loyalty a bit over the top and forget that the vast majority on here may want a Mopar first but down deep we're just car guys!

Personally my top 2 or 3 pics in my garage if I had a bottomless wallet would be Mopars (Superbird or Daytona, 2nd Gen Charger and My RR) but beyond that there are a few other makes models that would fill some space in my garage! I'll be the first to admit I have my nasty quality too that I can be "not so nice" to the guys who buy the brand new Challengers and then try to talk to me when I'm out in mine about "Our Muscle Cars" (usually results in some smart *** comment like why didn't you just buy an old one and get a "real muscle car" or me asking if he always drives his wifes car. That's just ribbing though I never downright start arguments or flame people for their personal choices. This may be a Mopar B Bodies site but there is a great group of guys on here and to each their own... Can't stand when someone gets severely judged because someone asked or mentioned a different brand... it's ignorant and downright annoying to me! Personally the GTO Charlie posted wouldn't be for me (I would take a mint Judge though) but he asked an opinion on what he should do between 2 choices (Keep the Harley or sell and buy the car).... Why chime in with our opinions on what he wants??? I gave my opinion based on those 2 options... it was quite easy!

Next time I'm over there I'll remember to try to take pictures, I was just kinda bummed that it won't be a mopar. The car is border line unrestorable, but is a great price. He had it sitting behind a field behind his house for years, before he realized it was worth something, then my mom got a job at agriculture and the guy she drove downtown with herd that i was looking for a new project and asked her if I would buy is so he didn't have to get the "weirdos" from Craigslist.

Thanks, I'm going to need some luck.

Bike needs a battery or it won't start. the battery won't even take a charge

got alignment on the Savoy last Friday and when I picked it up, it has no oil pressure. checked some things and found this and why I don't like people working on my junk

I wouldn't be to quick to assign blame, not sure if that's what you're doing, but you were making the correlation from an alignment to bent push-rods, possibly some rockers let go, collapsed lifters, oil starvation, let us know what you find, good luck!!

This isn't about Mopar vs the world.

This a about a quickly depreciating Harley and an old Muscle car. The Muscle care wins, regardless of model.

the engine had great oil pressure when it was dropped off for alignment and when they brought it back around for me to pick it up it had zero oil pressure. since I had recently assembled the engine, I took it home and slowly went and checked everything from oil filter, pump, pan and pickup. No bad rocker arms and the cam and lifters are new along with the correct valve springs, I can only assume they over revved it, since I didn't have a chip in the MSD to limit it

Why would they over rev it if it was in for an alignment?

it's possible I guess.

I would never sell my Road King to buy another muscle car. A cool bike AND a cool car is the setup. Ride or drive to the cruise.
As to an earlier post, machinery isn't obnoxious, but the operator might be.

Agree 100%% Love my Super Bee, but also love my CVO Street Glide......would not sell either. Except for a better version on each. Must have the bike AND car for different experiences.

I know new parts fail but for some reason I'm doubting this is the case.

My guess was either showing off or they had trouble starting it and held it wide open to start it. I'm not looking for them to build me a new engine, just replace a couple pushrods and gasket costs and something for my time. hell my truck needs a ball joint, they can change it and call us even.

I've had a few 440s and never spit out a lifter or bent a pushrod and I'm not easy on them. This motor only has break in time on the cam and a trip off and on the trailer since it isn't plated yet.

I wouldn't be disappointed if the bike doesn't sell but I still won't be riding it this year...no desire to ride it right now and someone should enjoy it

Your just kidding us right? 2 Harleys in my garage but there sure as hell ain't no goats. Unless of course you are planning on openning a junk yard, LOL. Then who could blame you for starting a new business venture. Yes I know what your thinking Budnicks, but that Firebird body was, 1. made by Fiberglass Trends not G.M. 2. on the car when I bought it & I HATED IT! 3. 70 Cuda funny-car bodies were not exactly growing on trees back then(believe me I looked). 4. it was MOPAR POWERED!!! 5. I just love my Harleys, especially my RoadKing, if I have to explain you wouldn't understand. Seriously charliesharp, do what makes YOU happy & don't give a crap what I think.
