My name is Jay & I have been in love with the 1968 Charger since I was 13 yrs old. My uncle, who was an avowed car guy but exclusively a corvette man, introduced me to Bullitt. I know everyone goes Gaga over the Stang, but I saw the 68 R/T 440 & it was over. I will be 50 in June. On Friday, I was able to realize a 36+ yr old dream. I flew to Vegas & purchased:

1968 Dodge Charger: Metallic Gunmetal Grey (originally “Sable White” W1 paint code) with Blue Vinyl Interior, Original, numbers matching & rebuilt 383 cu inch “Magnum” V8 w/ 4 Barrel Carbs & 4 speed Manual Transmission with Hurst shifter, Headrests, Console, Power Steering, Power Brakes, 15” original (vintage) American Racing Wheels

Northern CA/LV car. No accidents, all original sheet metal car. 1 owner since new in October of 1967. He passed away in November of last year & his family sold the car to Mike @ Classic Cars Las Vegas.

Welcome to FBBO.

It sounds like a great and beautiful car.

Congrats on the Acquisition! I’ll ask the dumb questions. Car looks Black in video, guess it’s the lighting. Is it a factory air car? Did I miss the fan shroud?

It can look charcoal towards black but it is Metallic Gunmetal Gray (non-OEM color). No air.
I live in the high country of NC. Doesn’t get over 75 in the summer. AC was never an issue for me. Don’t even have it in my cabin. Just open the windows & let the breeze blow.
