A wise choice grasshopper! Beautiful 68 Charger. According to the stunt coordinator of the movie Bullitt the Charger ran rings around the Mustang. He the Charger R/T pulled away from the Mustang like you wouldn't believe! The cars were not in the same league.

True as I have an avid ex FOMOCO chief engineer during the early 60's, 70's and early 80's who became once a partial owner of where I work & who was also on set during filming and great friends with Steve McQueen has told all the real stories. The Mustang did require much improved engine and suspension mods. The burnout smoke was even intensified with a smoke machine mounted in the rear of the Mustang.

They had to slow down the Charger during filming of some scenes because the Mustang couldn't keep up. Fact. Welcome to this forum, where practically nobody goes ga-ga over Mustangs!
