Had my dyno tune today, something tells me the guy was a little unsure what he was doing as he only adjusted the distributor and changed the jets instead of going for max performance.
made 400hp at the rear tires and he told me he cannot give a torque rating and that a manual car will lose a bit more HP from flywheel to tyres than an auto car but he expects around 550hp at the flywheel which is still a little low IMO.. it is running a bit better I think I will take it to someone else soon as this guy was pretty young and I have seen lesser engines with less cubes and less cam do more HP. anyway it is running a bit better.
and he wasn't even using the air intake sensor only the exhaust one.

this dyno sheet doesn't look right either if you ask me.

That was a short run my man. Unless you have more you didn't film. She sounded healthy - but you dyno and you want a full scale report of hp and tq. Is this a newly built engine for you? I'd spend a couple hundred bucks and bring it to a more sophisticated shop. Good luck!

thanks bud, yeh only one run of probably 5. yeh new shop is definetly on the cards

benno440 550HP is Great power in my opinion..if your looking for more power add 150 shoot of N.O.S that should take you too 700 !! people are killing themselves in the Hellcat with that much power so watch it if you do...Good luck to ya mate !!

At 550 guesstimated crank and 400 RWHP I don't think it's leaving much that spending more $$ and time on a chassis dyno would really do for you. If you had someone like an IQ52 around that could run the engine on a stand trying various combinations of different heads, intakes, carbs/jets etc... then I'm sure you could keep squeezing out but those numbers are very respectable and as long as it's running well I'd be happy if I were you.

I do agree though that the dyno guy you went to definitely should have been able to provide a lot more info. I also know your plans are to eventually ditch that motor and go a different route so how much more time and money do you spend trying to keep dialing in this one?
