My question is I have a 65 satellite with a factory floor shifter. That's the dual cable style, but my current engine transmission combo is a 383 with a 727 out of a '69 roadrunner. Is anybody here? Have any experience adapting the dual cable cell shifter to the newer 727 or do I need to sell the shifter and upgrade to a different style? And yes, my car is a factory automatic bucket seat console car

There was a company named Imperial Motors in Michigan that offered a conversion. I do not know I they are still in business? It might be easier to use an aftermarket shifter engineered for the later linkage-controlled 727. Hurst or B&M. Some of these have a blade type shifter that may fit your '65 console.

Use an aftermarket cable. You may have to move the pin distance on the pivot to get the geometry right. A little fab work and it'll be golden.

Just googled them and can't find anything on them
