Ebay moron!

hi guys

im not sure how many of you deal on ebay. for the most part i deal with them alot and have had nothing but good transactions with the people on there, and the products i have bought. they are courteous, kind, sometimes funny.....but i recently have had a BAD ordeal with one of them.

if you been following my "beep-beep" horn saga...you know that i have been having some trouble with them. i ordered two (2) beep-beep horns from VANSAUTOLLC..both were delivered to me not working,,,,well,,,one worked for 4 beeps then died. the second didnt work AT ALL..and it was in a bag marked "THIS ONE WAS TESTED AND WORKS" when the 2nd one was delivered. well...it didnt work and i emailed this vendor and told him i got another bum horn that i am sending it back and i would like my paypal refunded for the purchase price plus the shipping 2 times back to him. he gave me a ration of **** and told me to "loose" my attitude. i think he needs spelling lessons on top of a lesson in manners and dealing with people that buy from him.

long story short...this guy is a complete asshole and i would stay away from VANSAUTOLLC for any purchases for your beloved automobile!

i am usually the guy praising people on that a good job they have done....always giving "kudos" where due. i merely told the guy that i got another bad horn and that i was sending it back. i truly feel that his response to me was uncalled for. in his defense, i have ordered from him before and had no issues. not this time. i was put off by his arrogant persona that he displayed. ill let you guys know if he credits my paypal and well see how long that will take!

i TOLD the dude that he must have gotten a bad run..and yes,,,the horc circuitry is all correct and functioning as it should. i had a volkswagen horn on it for 3 weeks without incident. this dude just got a hold of some bad horns .i will c/p his email from ebay:

me: i received the replaced roadrunner horn that you sent me and this one does not work either. i don't know if you got a bad shipment of these horns or whats going on. i had a Volkswagen horn on my roadrunner for 3 weeks without incident....it worked fine...no problems. i think you got a hold of a bad run or something...or im just getting the ones that arent working. i am going to send this one back to you and i would like you to refund my paypal acct ( $75.00), plus the $16.00 it cost me to send you back 2 horns. let me know when you get a new shipment of these and i will try to get a good one at that time

me: if it was working,,,then WHY am i sending it back?.it doesnt work...and for that matter,,,the first one was probably tested,,,and that one didnt work either. i dont want to give you a hard time about this....and i dont want a hard time in return. i have bought things from you in the past and all was fine....this happens not to be. i gave 2 chances... and the outcome wasnt good. i just want refunded and i am sending this back to you, no need for this to get ugly

I've bought from that guy and he is the WORST on eBay. He sent me the wrong part, in the right box. When I wanted to exchange it he was rude and abusive. I seriously couldn't belive it. I remember him saying 'if I sent you it in a Nike box, would you be stupid enough to think a pair of shoes was in it?' I was floored at what an asshole this guy was.

He agreed to take the return, then took forever to refund me. I contacted him by email and his responses were rude and basically saying he'd get to me whenever he was ready.

I got fed up and contacted him by phone. The little jerk couldn't have been nicer when he was forced to answer me directly.

This still gets my blood boiling!

If it's the Van's Auto out of Wisconsin, they are just about 1/2 hour down the road from me. They are a salvage yard that also has repro parts. There are a few people working there - not a huge operation, though. I bought a '68 8 3/4 rearend from them that I put in my '64. The guy who owns the place was a great help with it - and he even went out of his way with helping me with it. A friend of mine has had a lot of good help from him over the years, as well. He's a real Mopar guy, too. Sorry to hear of your problems - just wanted to let people know another side to them. Maybe he got caught having a bad day at the moment he sent the email to you.

I buy a lot from Ebay, maybe not as much as most but thanks. I don't know if your looking for an original one or one that replicates the original but this is supposed to sound like the real deal (see description in link) but doesn't look quite like it, you could paint it and get the decal from Year one and maybe make it work (decal).. Heres the difference in them and if this will work the link is below to take you there. There was someone else that was trying to paint one here at the site because i believe the 68 RR horn was black and then they changed it to violet if he sees this. Good luck.

thanx Ron...i am trying to get a horn that belongs on my roadrunner be it original or repro. i NEVER had such bad luck with ANYTHING like i am with this horn.aaaaaaaaaanyhoooooooooo..............ill keep looking and thank you all for the loyalty in this matter concerning boycotting this IDIOTSTICK FROM VANSAUTOLLC,,,and yes its the one in wisconsin.

Hey Ron, I remember JC Whitney had the real Sparton horns for $20.00 back in the 80's. I was just too stupid to buy a bunch!!! And yes, the 68 horns were black.

I bought a few things from vans while building my gtx...I had no troubles...This is probably one of those things that they get from another vendor...Sorry about your luck..Too bad that didn,t make good on it...
