Edge knocked off corner of 77 400

I see this edge is knocked off on the block of some of 400s I see online. Mine is in the same spot only larger. Is this common or something to be concerned about?

There is probably plenty of deck surface there to seal so I guess it's a non-event.

Its def thick in that area. Alot of 400s look like this in the same spot

Never seen that: A hack method of separating the cylinder head is my guess.
