We are thinking about adding electric power steering to our 63 Blown Hemi Dodge 330, its tight under the hood and I like the way the car presents itself when the hood is open don't want to add anymore hoses or mount anything else.

Was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so give me some mounting advise?.

Thanks...

there is an episode of "fantom works" where they fit it to a Studebaker Avanti only time I've ever seen it

Did you have a system in mind? I know I've seen the aftermarket sell kits. I believe they were for non-Mopar cars. There is a lot to consider when doing this. I highly recommend not purchasing a kit, if they exist, where you can adjust the power steering gain manually. That can spell disaster, if you forget to turn it down after you leave the supermarket parking lot and your maneuvering down the interstate. I'm interested to see where what you do! Good luck!

Thanks still researching it, the 330 is easy to handle when driving but in a tight space it's really a handful. Looking at Unisteer about $1,100 I know I will have to shorten the steering column and reinforce the firewall....trying to find someone who has actually done this....

Did you end up getting any further with this project?
