Engine Compartment Openings and Covers?

1968 Plymouth GTX - Does anyone know what was used to attach the fiber/rubber boots on the openings in the engine compartment located on the fender wells? Also were these access ports, cooling and what was the correct name.

Wire clips, they usually come with the replacements. I know Detroit Muscle includes them. Hopefully we are talking about the same pieces as you didn't include pictures.
