Engine compartment paint question

Hi guys getting ready to paint my engine compartment very soon still prepping does the battery tray and braces get painted separately and then installed or mounted in place and painted at the same time with the rest of the compartment thanks

I painted mine separately and then installed after the engine compartment was painted.
