Hi,
It's been a while since being on this site.........
I need to identify my motor......just for GP........
I'm reinstalling my headers after having them ceramic coated. Also replacing my new T/C and seals in the TF 727 tranny. SO, since everything is off the motor, I want to identify what I have.
The LH block casting number is 3614230-4 and the stamped number on the lower LH by the starter opening is 17782 A.
Is my research correct that this is a maybe 4th generation 400CID motor with date stamp of April 4, 2010.
I will be searching for the ID engine number this morning on the block. Hope i find it........
Any information will be highly appreciated.

There should be a casting date on the other side of the block. The 3614230 is a 71/72 400 with the heavy main webs. The 4 on the end means it was part of the 4th set of engines cast on the casting date.
