I would like some opinions, help, and or info on a motor I purchased. Here is what I have found, it is 440 complete motor and auto trans, block casting # 2536430-7 the number of the distributor pad is E or F 440 129 HP, and the number on pad by the oil pan is 0B220350. It has the extra counter weight on the harmonic balancer and a set of 906 series heads on it. Any help would be highly appreciated. :confused::confused:

Thanks in advance, Swags63

Sounds like it's a 70 E body motor and it has the heavy (read six pack) rods in it. Those rods do NOT mean it was a six pack motor though.

E=1969 model year.
F=1970 model year.
HP=high lift casm engine
129=Jan 29th assembly date
906s were the standard heads for HP or standard 440 for both years.

As 69runner said, the V.I.N. indicates it is a 1970 engine, and it was a Hamtramck built car.
