ENGINE INSTALL PROBLEM

I guess you have better luck than everyone else.

It works very well. No different than assembling something with multiple fasteners, you keep them loose until all nuts/bolts are in then tighten.

I just installed a 360 in a 68 B body with stock 318 mounts. The left mount ear shimmed for the 360. Had the same issue. The mounts wouldn’t set down. A lot of jacking and prying, along with loosening the RS mount. Finally got it in but it was a pain.

I remember my new engine mounts also did not really lined up properly.
With the engine out again and trying to install the long bolt on the mount i found i was unable to screw the bolt in as the ears were bend.
After some straightening up the mount ears it went in easy and i was able to get the engine installed.
