Ok so I got my hands on a 2005 dodge charger r/t engine with full harness and computer, and I am wondering if there is any way I could drop it in my 72 charger with the 727 trans, I understand fundamental stuff like needing new motor mounts and fuel lines and what have you, but hooking it up to the transmission is the issue with me, I just don't know if it would work (if at all), and I don't want to completely pull the 360 thats in it only to find that theres no way it will fit. Any and all help is definately appreciated.

the 5.7 bolts up to the 727 just fine - the only thing that you can't use is the top bolt hole and you'll have to get a new flexplate from mancini racing or xv motorsports

u will have to get your computer reprogrammed if you are not using the OD transmission. if you do not, the computer will expect to receive signals from the transmission in regards to shifting and speed.
