I'm hanging the new exhaust on my '67 R/T this week. I bought the tail pipes from Accurate, but ended up with mufflers from Classic, and H-pipe from Waldron Exhaust. I liked the Accurate tail pipes because the have the right contour on the exit end, but couldn't justify the cost of their H-pipe. By the time I figured in shipping, that pipe alone would have been over $500; too much for me. The Waldron H-pipe looks and fits good, and was much less expensive.
My original plan was to just replace the tail pipes, but ended up having to replace the mufflers. After those arrived, it became apparent that the H-pipe would also need to be replaced for everything to fit correctly. In retrospect, it would have been easier to order everything at one time from a single supplier. But, due to cost, probably wouldn't have gone with Accurate anyway. Not knocking their product at all; if my tail pipes are any indication, their work is top flight. But they are extremely proud of it.
Interestingly, NO ONE has tail pipe hangers for a '67 Dodge B-body (no chrome tips like a GTX). Apparently, the one supplier in the world who makes them burned down several months ago, and no one has bothered to tool them up. I ended up having to build some from photos I found on line. They look passable, but I'll replace them someday if anyone ever gets around to re-reproducing them.
Cheers,
JD
