Does anyone have one of those fake engine blocks that I could borrow for a short time, or know of a reasonable source for them? I'll need it for a mock up, and only need a short block (no heads). I found one source for about $350, but thought I would check here first. I'm in So Cal, can pick up if within driving distance. Will give details in PM.

Thanks!

This might be a dumb idea but you might be able to find a bare 360 block for the same price or cheaper on CL? It may not fit your needs but just an idea.

Not a dumb idea.... that would be the route I take if nobody has a foam engine I can borrow.

I found a couple of 360 blocks when I was looking for mine, but most were about 2-3 hours away. I was lucky to get a '73 block that was buildable, and that's at the machine shop. For this I just need something that a custom builder can mock up his parts on. It doesn't matter the condition, but bare blocks are being priced at $300+ and are sometimes several hours away. Sadly, this $350 foam engine might be the least expensive option!
