Sorry to hear. R.I.P Bob. Condolences to all his family and friends.

His discussions usually included material outside the scope of my understanding.I too am genuinely saddened by this news of Bob. He and I exchanged private conversations a few times ..... usually because I was trying to calm down the muddy waters after disagreements on the forums about charging circuits, electronic ignition and green bearings etc....
He was always positive towards my requests and suggestions, and he said a couple of times he would love to be able to come over here and pay a visit. I honestly think if he was fit enough and able to do so that he would have. I certainly do hope that everyone can sit back and appreciate what Bob tried to do in the way of education at times.
Take his arguments how you will, but he really did have a passion for getting the details right.
My sincere condolences to his family....I hope one of them will discover this thread and have a read.
May you rest in peace Bob.....you certainly have earned a rest.
Of course, all of the above is just my opinion.

I wouldn't normally do this ...but Bob was such a nice guy, I'm sure he would be OK with me sharing our last exchange.....
