It was a Ford,it could have been anything and everything! The don't say Found On Road Dead for nothing!

It would have to be something of substantial weight to dent the hood of a 59 Ford. The sheetmetal was pretty thick back then. I am going with the generator, I don't think that 59 Fords had alternators yet.
