Feeling Pretty Good About Myself

I thought E-body rears were too short for a B-body? If not true then I've messed up not getting the ones that were available. :(
Nope, it's the other way around. E rears generally run about 2" wider than the 68-70 B cars but now sure how much different they are than the newer B's are....

The 71-71 B bodies are just about 1.5" wider than the E bodies, so I had to cut off the spring pads and move them about 3/4" and installed. The wheels are in 3/4", but you can't tell.

I finally got the engine issues worked out, and I'm so happy that everything is running and charging. :) For an engine that hasn't started in over ten years, there was a lot of concern that when I finally did get her fired up for real I would hear clanging or the garage would fill with oil smoke, but all is well. I added a quart of Murphy's Mystery Oil to the initial oil and that's hopefully clearing out a lot of the gunk that's in there. I am getting a very minor leak from the rear of the valve covers, but I suspect that'll stop once I change the oil to all 10W-40.

Now I have another problem. Looks like the booster for the power brakes is locked up like a drum after sitting for three years, so I just ordered a new one from O'Reillys and should get it in this weekend.

Sounds like your having fun . I always hated the putting together part something always screws your day up . Keep on trucking you'll get it

Me too. Just watched Hoarders and My 600 Pound Life. Always feel better after that.
